Member of the Month:

Brianna Gable

Mallory Gregory has been teaching Family and Consumer Sciences for 7 years and serving as an FCCLA Adviser for 4. During her time as an adviser, she has served on the Nebraska FCCLA Board of Directors including one year as the Board of Directors chair, and served as a District Adviser. Despite these extra duties, her commitment to the local chapter has remained strong. During her 4 years at Waverly, the FCCLA membership has doubled and has greatly increased involvement both locally and at the state level. Her students' involvement in STAR and running for state office has also increased. Her passion for her students changing the world through FCCLA and her FCS classes is what drives her to be a servant leader every day.

Brianna Gable; 2016/17 Vice President of Development

Hey, I'm Bri! I'm a sophomore, officer, and two year member of our chapter. I compete in STAR and Power of One, attend conferences, and help lead our members. Along with FCCLA, I'm a member of FBLA and the class president of the FFA chapter at Waverly. When I'm not in the journalism lab or in the chicken coop, you can find me on the volleyball court or at the bowling alley. In my free time I enjoy traveling, writing, hunting, and spending time with my family and closest friends. My favorite thing to do is be creative and to finish my long list of things to accomplish. I currently plan to have a future in agriculture communications and technology. I love FCCLA and the family atmosphere almost as much as I love color coded planners written in 'Papermate' flair pens.

Hi, I'm Taylor. I am a senior, officer, and three year member of our FCCLA chapter. Serving as the secretary I am busy with writing up meeting minuets and filling in the point system. I have received a gold at Nationals this last summer in my STAR project. I joined FCCLA because I enjoyed children and had taken many family consumer classes. My favorite thing to do is FFA and FCCLA I love building relationships with all of the members of both of these clubs. Some things I enjoy are teaching, agriculture, and learning new things. I will be attending UNL this fall and am hoping to become an agriculture teacher.
